What is a Promotional Product?

Founder/CEO

Bio: Russell has been working in the Promo industry for over a decade. As the CEO of The Promo Addict, he is focused on driving business development and overseeing sales management. A proud member of EO Edmonton, Russ enjoys the entrepreneurial journey, working collaboratively with his team on creative projects.
Russ is passionate about the industry and actively supports initiatives that foster growth and mentorship.
In his free time, Russ loves BBQing and spending time with his friends and family, creating memorable moments over great food.
Jocelyn Bird
Chief Operating Officer

Random Fun Fact: Jocelyn was the Canadian Dessert Champion in 2016
Bio: Jocelyn Bird is a creative professional with a strong background in visual communication, graduating from NAIT’s Graphic Communications program. With extensive experience in graphic design and the promotional products industry, she has cultivated a reputation for excellence in branding and operations.
As Chief Operating Officer at The Promo Addict, Jocelyn leads Vendor Relations and Brand Management, while overseeing cross-functional operations. She plays a key role in streamlining workflows, optimizing supply chain logistics, and ensuring on-time project delivery aligned with strategic goals. Her leadership drives efficiency, strengthens brand consistency, and elevates client satisfaction.
Beyond the boardroom, Jocelyn is a dedicated mother who enjoys baking, playing soccer, and spending quality time with her children.
Dennis Lachance
General Manager

Random Fun Fact: Dennis is currently the mad scientist behind a full custom S10 shortbox build, proving that if you try hard enough, you really can fit a massive LS engine into just about anything.
Bio: With over two decades of leadership and management experience, Dennis is the “Chief Mechanic” of The Promo Addict team. He focuses on keeping both the Sales and Production departments firing on all cylinders, ensuring the crew has the horsepower they need to succeed. While he’s always ready to jump in and help a client find that perfect piece of gear, his real passion is mentorship and operational excellence.
When he isn’t steering the ship at the office, you’ll find him in the garage covered in grease, chasing the open road on a bike, or figuring out how to squeeze more performance out of his latest hot rod project. He brings that same “built-to-last” mentality to the team, making sure every project is tuned to perfection and every client experience is as polished as show-car chrome.
Krista Franchuk
Inside Sales Representative

Bio: With a Commerce degree from the University of Alberta and a certificate in Graphic Design, Krista’s experiences are wide-ranging. Krista has spent time working in the oil and gas, waste, construction, not-for-profit, and business consulting industries. When not at the office, Krista enjoys spending time with family and friends, cheering on her son at the rink and her daughter on the diamond, and gardening in the spring and summer (and dreaming of gardening in the fall & winter). Krista is excited to assist customers with their unique promotional needs.

Bio: Born and raised in Sherwood Park, Ash started her career as a Hair Stylist. With a background rooted in creativity and individuality, she brings a fresh perspective to the world of promotional products.
Ash believes corporate doesn’t have to mean cookie-cutter. She combines sharp business strategy with creative instinct to help brands show up differently
Off the clock, you’ll find her planning her next tattoo or thrifting for pieces with character. Blending individuality with intention isn’t just her job, it’s her lifestyle.
Harrison Thweatt
Administrative Assistant

Random Fun Fact: Harrison’s high school was so small, he graduated in the top and bottom 10 of his class!
Bio: Originally hailing from Texas, Harrison has had a varied career as a merchandiser, insurance surveyor, and even entertainment editor at his university newspaper. After moving to Canada to be with his partner in 2024, he is excited to dive into the promo world. In his free time, Harrison enjoys exploring the Edmonton River Valley, cooking and baking, or simply spending time with his partner. Harrison’s face may be the first you see when you visit The Promo Addict, so feel free to drop in and ask him what new recipe he’s trying this week!

Bio: With a Computer Associate’s Degree and a graduate of Culinary Arts, Shzyla’s experiences are wide-ranging. She has been working in the Hospitality & BPO Industry for years since graduating from College. During her free time, she love spending time with her family, cooking, and surfing. Shzyla’s role coordinates with various internal teams, ensuring timelines and budgets are met, tracking project progress, and identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
Rex Enriquez
Accounting Technician

Bio: Rexon graduated college with a degree in BS in Accountancy. He has been practicing accounting since 2017. At The Promo Addict, Rex’s primary tasks are making sure our suppliers are paid on time, collecting payments from customers in a timely manner, and other accounting related tasks.

Bio: Swag the Dog has been working at The Promo Addict since January 2019. The office felt like it needed a fun loving mascot to be incorporated into the team and who better than a happy animal that basically gets excited about all kinds of swag!
